THE CRISIS THEORY

THE CRISIS THEORY

I started THE CRISIS THEORY as an outlet to solidify the printed books and magazines I create.

“@sabotageespionage—THE BOOK,” is the first release.

THE CRISIS THEORY … I loved the name, and after learning what it actually meant, I loved it even more.

Crisis theory is a framework for understanding how and why significant disruptions—such as economic recessions, social unrest, or organizational emergencies—occur in societies, economies, or institutions. Originating with Karl Marx, it explains how profit rates in capitalist systems tend to decline as competition forces business owners to reinvest more into machinery and technology, reducing the share of value they can keep as profit. This falling profit rate can trigger economic crises like recessions, business failures, and layoffs.

Crisis theory has since broadened beyond economics to analyze political and social crises, focusing on how various actors, including governments and organizations, respond to major disruptions. It examines intervention strategies such as direct action, policy changes, resource allocation, and public communication. Ultimately, crisis theory is key for understanding how crises reshape societies and prompt shifts in policy, governance, and social structures.

Ok. Cool.

Let’s see what my economically rooted critique of capitalism has in store.
